Adopt-A-Gryphon
The goal of the Adopt-A-Gryphon program is to raise funds to support and enhance each of the University of Guelph's varsity teams. For example, funds can be used to purchase team equipment, support out of conference (exhibition) competition or provide additional training aids; all with the intent of improving the student-athlete experience and making our teams more competitive.
Dr. James (Jim) Jim Atkinson Award
Established to honour Dr. Jim Atkinson, the Atkinson Scholarship recognizes the significant contributions to men’s and women’s rugby that Dr. Atkinson has made, and continues to make, at the University of Guelph.A leader both on the field and in academia, Dr. Atkinson’s name is synonymous with Gryphon Rugby.
Gryphon Women’s Rugby Hall of Fame Scholarship
Established by the members of the 1994 and 1998 Championship Women’s Rugby teams, inducted in the Gryphon Hall of Fame in 2004 and 2012 respectively, one scholarship is awarded to a current or entering member of the Gryphon Women’s Rugby team.
Mark Yanchus Women's Rugby Scholarship
Established to honour long time Gryphon assistant coach Mark Yanchus. The Mark Yanchus women’s rugby scholarship will be awarded annually to a member of the women’s rugby team.
